how the hell can you say drop Nobby? The man is brilliant and among the best Right Wingers in the World, him going through a bad patch merely shows he's human, the bloke was wanted at Real Madrid and Man Utd, hes not exactly been poor anyway, hes just not been performing of late as good as we know he can, Play up Nobby! Sign Sinclair in to replace Nobby? Trevor Sinclair is an average player looking good in a crap team, I hope the Mackems wate £9 million, he isnt fit to lick the boots of Solano! P.S. Everyone please give Robert Lee a rousing reception whenever he plays for us now, hes been one of the greatest and most consistent midfielder ever to grace St. James' Park.

I'd agree with Mark about the line up and tactics for the Everton game. They certainly do need a kick up the backside, and I think it's about time Bassedas took on the role he is supposed to. He can be a very creative player when on form.

I think Robson should have a serious look at Gravesen - Everton have money difficulties and he is a top all round midfielder - I fear he may prove this on Saturday!!! Also, these gibbons who r attacking Shearer - hello - do u watch football. It is clear Shearer is not as quick as he was but he is still top quality - his aerial power, vision, finishing and ability to hold the ball up mark him out as still one of the best - how many times does he have to prove himself to idiots like u!!!

How about an exchange involiving Speed (+cash?) for Izzet? would this be a) possible b0 a good deal. if so, how much cash do you think we would have to add?

They're looking for around £10m for Izzet, which is way too much. I don't particularly rate him anyway. - M

give Okon a loan contract until the end of the season. he may be a good stop-gap replacement for Rob Lee. if he eventually becomes good enough, maybe we can save a few millions which can be then used to strenghten other positions -- LW cover for Robert, RB replacement for Barton, and maybe a less injury-prone striker.

Makes you appreciate the conversation on here.

Izzet and Gravesen are two other players mentioned.

Gravesen was great against us today, but isn't exactly Vieira. Izzet is a ponce, and we should stay well away, Bassedas is better than Izzet.

Also, Andy O'Brien as a centre midfielder, never thought of that one before, although he seems settled at centre back, we would have nobody to replace him at the back.
