Microsoft bets big on Windows XP

[EXCERPT]

Windows XP requires a minimum of 128 megabytes of memory, 1.5 gigabytes of free hard disk space and a relatively fast processor shipped within the past year or two, so the system is not even suitable as an upgrade for most machines.

Mel Brooks would disagree, Z. His take is there were 3 tablets containing 5 commandments each for a total of 15, but Moses dropped one and it broke...

Rich:

From the ancient scriptures, it is clear that there were 11. God was using an early version of Windows; it would only let him download 10 bulleted items. Number 11 was given a clean erase. According to the scriptures God was angry; it was suggested that he send an email complaint to Gates; God was afraid to anger the great Gates and we have only 10.

Best Wishes,,,,

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Health Department called an emergency news conference Wednesday night to report that preliminary tests from environmental testing for anthrax have come back positive.

Health Department Director Dr. Rex Archer said that the samples were taken at the Stamp Fulfillment Service facility, and that the samples had been sent for confirmation to the Centers for Disease Control.

"No individuals are infected," Archer said.

Some workers at two stamp distribution centers in Kansas City started taking antibiotics as a precaution after apparently receiving tainted mail a week ago.

The two facilities in the Hunt-Midwest Subtropolis caves apparently received mail and stamps from the Brentwood postal facility in Washington, which is the same facility where two employees died from inhalation anthrax.

"There is no danger to the general public from the mail. The mail we found and sequestered, which is where the samples tested positive, did not come through the mailstream with any letters that might end up in your home," postal facility manager Gary Stone said. "These are letters that were bulked up. We apply cancels for stamp collectors around the country. I might also add that those stamp collectors have no reason to be concerned because the orders that go from our facility are done in a separate part of the facility with a different air flow."

Officials said that it appears the anthrax bacteria was taken from two swabs of trash bags at Stamp Fulfillment Services.
