Looking at this photograph right after viewing David's "Kids on Swings" struck a comical note with me. I think this one makes me just as dizzy. This is due to the object against the wall on the lower-right which betrays the dizzying position of the camera. This, combined with her whacked-out expression and her so far-out-of-centeredness and vast detailless area of wall, gives me the impression of being in a small airplane that has turned every which way but level, and my first physical reaction I get is from my stomach. Extremely effective photograph.

Ahh, familiar in so many senses.

Was it the end of the party just for her or the end of general festivities?

Looks like the work of a master to me.

To anwer Mike's question...

It was a party at her home. She is one of those people who puts out huge amounts of energy making sure everyone is having a great time. This was late in the evening and I think she had run out of that energy...

Thanks for the comments.

And yet another great shot from Jeff. This is exactly what I was talking about before... that edge. The composition and the exposure are both wonderful. It's just terrific.
