(OT)Prayers needed..my Father is Missing I got a call today after 2pm that my father was missing, no one had seen him since thurs. night. Since then they say someone saw him Sat. morning, and that was the last time he was seen. He lives in a very small town, everyone knows everyone....it is UNLIKEly he is in that county where he is very well known.

the police have been called....fowl play MAY be involved...I will be going down there tomorrow morning...would appreciate any prayers.

(He is "confused" most of the time......) I think he thought it was 30 yrs ago, and took off, and is lost somewhere....but no one can find his van.

thank you all, I can't keep my eyes open, going to bed, and will fill you in with anything I find out...going to call GF..her hubby is truck driver with CB and he is making a trip to PA tomorrow! (I have had a thought of him going to PA) and getting lost.

My stepfather was once missing for a week and scared us all silly. It turned out that he decided, on the spur of the moment, to go visit some relatives four states over. He left without telling anyone. I hope that you have good news about your dad soon!

I have been reliving the scare my mom gave me one morning, when it was apparent she had spent a good deal of the night getting ready to take off. Fortunately when she got up she put everything away. (It was a pretty unsuitable collection, like all her slippers but no shoes.) It made me aware that just because she was living with me I didn't have much control over her, short of a 24/7 armed guard. She would be safer in a supervised, secured facility, but there are quality of life issues to consider as well. SAR, I'm guessing that you'll be rethinking your Dad's situation when he's found, but there aren't always easy answers to it.
