Sorry, I don't have any seeds to swap this year, but I just wanted to ask what this banana squash tastes like, or is it more of a gourd? I've never heard of it.

I would love to swap seeds. That is one of my favorite things to do. I have a collection of the seeds from all of my favorite flowers in the flower beds(giant peachy pink zinnias, giant marigolds, amaranthus, snap dragons, and whatever else was pretty. Then I also have some golden peppers(thanks to Diane) that were really pretty this year, some spaghetti squash, Fever Few, Basil, Oregano, and think that is it for what I have extra of.

Hi, Beth.... you've hit a weak spot for me! I'd love to swap seeds. I'm new to gardening, only out of apartment living two years now. The only seeds I have are Hollyhocks. Would you be willing to trade for some AWSOME milk soap? (I've been making soap for almost a year now.) I've got several fragrances and some special recipies, too.Nan, how about you? I'd like some of those herb seeds, if we could negotiate a mutually agreeable trade.
Charleen, will you please repost the web address for the labels? I could not get www.pig-etc.com to work? Thanks.

Forgot about my okra seeds too. I have been saving them for a long time and they always come back true. I got them from an older farmer. They don't get really tall, maybe 4 or 5 feet and are pretty tender even if they get kinda big.

If the packages and letters get irradiated at the post office, will it kill the seeds? Waste of seeds and postage if it does. Anybody know?
-- Soni (thomkilroy@hotmail.com), October 25, 2001.
I thought that irradiation was not a cheap thing to do. I seriously doubt that all mail would be irradiated like that. Hope not anyway! It would sure mess up our fun HUH?!~ If you girls get the seeds let me know if they germinate. Pick one and do a germination test on it and then we can see what's up! Ya' know...put one or two of the bigger seeds in a damp paper towel a couple of days or so. Herb seeds are really slow to germinate. Might have to put them in a pot and just wait and hope for the best.
