Robert Lee

Forgive the negativity here but have just enjoyed a rare pint in my local and am bloody sick of 'we've got our tottenham back' comments

That being said could I argue with the fact that venerable YBR excused our loss with the fact a certain 35 year old player who has asked for a transfer was unavailable.

If Bobby is happy to rest our entire season on the availability of Rob Lee then he has gone nuts, and the result we saw at the weekend will be repeated many times.

Dont get me wrong. I feel Rob Lee has some value - but not to the point where his absence is the reason why we lose at home to another average side.

Sorry Bobby get a bloody grip. IF Rob Lee was the fulcrum of your side then you should have done more to find a younger version to slot in when the ever older one gets injured, has a virus or whatever.

Your midfield signings have been poor, and with Speed in tandem, we have equally the least inspiring central midfiled in the Premiership.

Im tired of leaving work/pub etc with the comments 'you lads up there deserve better' as 52,000 again see a shambles.

I'll repeat what I've said on another thread about the Rob Lee situation - which I fear is developing into a cancer within the Club, and one that requires urgent surgery to cut it out to prevent it killing the Club.

As usual we have no facts to deal with, only snippets here and there to piece together. However, IF Rob did duck the game late on Sunday morning because of the Club's decision not to grant his transfer request, he has committed the ultimate sin and should be kicked out of the Club - immediately, and irrespective of the playing consequences.

Agree with ya there, Clarky. Btu he did play last week, the day after handing in the request. Maybe he really was sick yesterday?

We don't know all the facts and the suggestion that the club doctor could find nothing wrong with him hasn't been confirmed. However, Lolo played against Man Utd with all out flu so that should tell us something. The timing of his transfer request was unfortunate but we gave him the benefit of the doubt. This, however, looks such unfortunate timing that you almost think he wouldn't be so stupid. On the other hand, he clearly made to effort to play, didn't even turn up at the ground so the evidence points firmly at Rob doing his level best to go from hero to zero.
