greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

sorry but...

I'd go for a mass brawl incurring the wrath of the FA and a 12 point per side deduction

Well I would prefer if the Riverside spontaneously combusted tonight and got rid of you both in one fell swoop!

But since you ask........well you know the answer SK.

I have grown an extra finger for the occasion which I am currently raising towards Wearside :-)

Now now Lynda. Wishing people dead is not nice.Unless it is Alan Shearer.Oh and Supermac.

Couldn't give a f...k frankly. The three North East sides are as shit as each other (sorry, Kev, but your hardworking donkeys probably cancel out our lazy prima donnas and Boro are just Boro).

Dougal you are obviously in as great a mood as I am today.

As for you SK, i wasn't really wishing anyone dead as well you know, I was making a lighthearted comment about ridding the NE of the other 2 teams in one fell swoop. Combust may not be the right word - disappear mysteriously, is that better? Less violent.

However as Dougal hints at - in the end, it doesn't matter........

Lynda, I'm spitting feathers :) I mean, losing is one thing but when your manager actually orchestrates that defeat (aided and abetted by the ineptitude of some allegedly senior players), it's enough to make you puke.

Dougs give Spurs some credit....they are not a bad side and as I pointed out on friday their results this season (man utd apart) are pretty even with ours! (they won well away at Sunderland and were unlucky against Chewsea)....

They've bought reasonably well (if a bit old!) and Hoddle is tactically very astute...

Personally I had us down to lose that game whatever system we played...

You're right, Gav, but with home advantage and how awfully Spurs normally play against us at SJP, we could have beaten them and actually looked to be trying damage limitation. They aren't that good.

I have been in a foul mood since yesterday Dougal and agree whole heartedly with your comments about BR's role in the whole shambles.

I don't know who it was but someone said on here on Friday that he had a funny feeling we would lose. Despite telling myself otherwise, I had that feeling as well. The thing is, I didn't expect us to play a strange formation and basically lose the plot from the kick off!

Oh well.....on to Everton.

If both teams could loose that would be perfect. Failing that a dour 0-0 draw would suffice. I am too depressed to make any meaningful suggestions on what I think of yesterdays result.

Right SK.....I need your namesake to score a hat-trick tonight for my fantasy football team....there that'll put the mockers on the little pikey twat....

During the last televised Moggies/Smoggies match the only person on the pitch I felt any empathy towards was the referee. As Ciara correctly pointed out, given it was Andy D'urso this was a bit worrying. If anyone gets a tonking I'd prefer it to be the Mackems.

-- Anonymous, October 22, 2001

On balance the Smoggies, although as incomprehensible as it may seem, I'll be watching it on telly, so a 5-5 draw would probably be best for us - draws are always the best result for us in other PL games. However, I'm certainly neither as PC or as squeamish as Lynda, and if I could only get my hands on a flame-thrower and a ticket ................

-- Anonymous, October 22, 2001

I've been asking my new geology colleagues what the chances are of a sudden and unexpected volcanic explosion appearing around Smogland tonight. Apparently 'very slim' is the professional opinion, but I'm a born optomist. Here's hoping, eh.

-- Anonymous, October 22, 2001

I shall be watching the double episode of Corrie. Don't give a toss about makems and smoggies but Ashley (ah said Ashley) and Maxime, now there's something much more important.

-- Anonymous, October 22, 2001

...... and here's me thinking that I was a sad case, Jacko! ;o{)

-- Anonymous, October 22, 2001

If rumours of the air around Smogland are true, wouldn't a single match be enough? ;-)

-- Anonymous, October 22, 2001

Maxime will regret that decision I'm telling you now. It probably ranks on a par with Bobby's 3-5-2 for an ill-thought out response to a situation.

-- Anonymous, October 22, 2001

What is happening in Corry Jack?? Havent seen it since March.

And re Sunday objectively speaking, if that is at all possible, I

thought Sherringham was brilliant. Luax2 was a typical Newcastle

crowd pleaser and should perhaps be given just a wee run. Can

upset defences create bit of havoc etc. Still licking my lips thinking

about Dyer with Bellamy and Robert surely sme good must come out of that??/

To answer the important part of your question Derek. You may recall Ashley was having trouble in the baby-making department due to the need for a decoke and a rebore. This having been completed amongst much wincing and clutching of the trouser area, Maxime has a one night stand with Doctor Matt when they were both pissed as newts. I can't recall where Ashley (ah said Ashley) was at the time - servicing his sausage machine perhaps?

Inevitably, Maxime gets preggers and Ashley, assuming a bulls eye on his first post-operative outing, is delighted. Doctor Matt and Maxime, do their sums and realise that Ashley is probably mistaken. For the time being, they have decided that silence is a virtue but mark my words .... it will all end in tears.
