Hey, anyone else get a chuckle out of the classified in the latest issue re: an engine that runs on air? Those kinds of classifieds always get me going. Maybe it is a pet peeve, but I'm usually laughing pretty hard.

OK, so it occurs to me that what he might be really selling is a wind turbine, however that stores energy, it doesn't have an engine "that runs on air". I wish people would think just a little bit. Sigh. There is not something for nothing, but we all wish there was, huh?

I kinda remember hearing about a car that runs on air but I suspect there's a large compressed air tank on board that drives an air motor, kinda like whats used with air tools.

Anne, in a way there IS something for nothing. It's called photoelectric. Not "for nothing" when you're building it, but "for nothing" when it's generating power for you.JOJ
