DVD movie burnt on CD-R / CD-RW ---- But not playing on PC 's DVD ROM

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hello, Pleasant People reading this question, I have downloaded UleadMediaStudio Pro V. 6.5 Trial Version and installed. It has a DVD PlugIn in it. I converted a small MPEG-1 (VCD compliant) to a MPEG-2(DVD compliant)file using the same trial software. I burnt this file to a DVD movie using the above PlugIn on both a CR-R and a CD-RW disk each successfully -- the software said so !! Now, I have two Compaq PCs each of them have DVD ROMs . I tried to play the DVD movies on both the DVD ROMs but each time the software opens, shows the movie , then immediately gives a message as follows :- " Key exchange for DVD copy protection failed. Click on OK to close " If anyone of you reading this have a solution, kindly reply so that it will be helpful to me and others. THANKS Regards HVP 21-10-2001

Sounds like you have a trial software key issue. Maybe it won't play the films it is so readly prepared to make for you, unless you purchase the software lisence.

This is a common practice.

Try a different DVD/VCD software player to play your films.
