Does anyone know of a book and a website just about tools the pioneers used? Also any sites that list movie titles from the 50's-now, especially family/adventure movies?

Here are some sites that could help. I haven't found one yet that deals with this comprehensively yet. There are some reall good things here though.

Here are some links to pioneer sites. They are not in any particular order. http://www.gsn.uk.com/beginning.html http://www.fayette.k12.il.us/btown/museum.htm http://hollis.peoria.k12.il.us/students/Mic/index~1.htm -This is a nice little site although it is not too detailed. http://www.execulink.com/~ecpmchin/agri.htm http://www.lofthouse.com/USA/Utah/Paradise/farmtool.html http://www.imagesbuilder.com/gsmnp/cooking.html http://www.cr.nps.gov/nr/twhp/wwwlps/lessons/4logcabins/4facts1.htm http://www.smith-zimmermann.dsu.edu/major.htm - http://webpages.marshall.edu/~irby1/laura.htmlx -Laura Ingalls Wilder page http://www.osv.org/Welcome.html -Old Sturbridge village. The articles are interesting although some of the history has a definite liberal bent. This is definitely a site to take advantage of. In the articles section there is a whole article on winter food storage. Little Bit Farm
