New York's finest and bravest

Incredible concert at Madison Square Garden right now. The entire floor is given over to 6000 police, fire, and rescue workers and their families and survivors. So far the best was watching them all go completely nuts during the Who's amazing 4 song set(longest of any act so far). Those old guys can still rock harder than many younger bands! I'm sweating from jumping around my living room. ;-)

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards bringing the place down now. If this is aired in the UK, or wherever you're living, do watch. This is really like a mini Live Aid! Only far more of an emotional roller coaster. It's just so wonderful to see these men and women getting major recognition and having the time of their lives. Well deserved!!

Heard U2 has cancelled out. Dunno why unless they're as shagged out and spent as the fans at last night's show. ;-)

Didn't think I'd be able to stay awake late enough to watch this whole show, but the performances and line-up are amazing. James Taylor on now, doing a beautiful, heartfelt Fire and Rain.

Also worth watching out for during the show are the short films about NYC by Scorces, Woody Allen and Jerry Seinfeld. Captured the essence of the city as only true NY'ers could do.

And if you're prone to crying easily....have a box of tissues handy. Been through about 10 already.

That's 10 tissues, not boxes of. ;-)
