Prescription Drugs over the Internet

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unk's Wild Wild West : One Thread

I've been reading a lot lately about people buying Cipro and other drugs over the Internet without a prescription from a local physician. Has anyone out there tried this? Does it work? What sites do you recommend (or not recommend)? What are the risks?

I don't feel any desire to stock up on Cipro; probably costs too much these days anyway. But, I sort of resent having to make and appointment and get a prescription everytime I need some minor antibiotic or something similar. Usually, it costs too much and takes too long to get the appointment.

Example -- there are some antibiotics I try and take with me when traveling out of the Country. This is because I don't like trying to find a physician in a strange Country for a known condition when I'm sick. Even in Mexico -- where most of this stuff is available off the shelf -- I'd rather not struggle with the problem when sick. Yet, I resent having to renew these prescriptions annually (particularly since I generally don't use the stuff, and hope I don't have to).

Comments anyone.

Anti-biotics are not minor and should only be used when necessary.
