Konica IR 120

Hi there.

Just processed a film and I've noticed there is an arch in every frame. I'm using a Hasselblad A12 back, 40ml Zeiss lens and hood. It looks like flare, but the sun was behind me and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a rainbow!

Thanks, Gary

Is it possible that you have vignetting from the lens hood? That is what it sounds like to me. Howard

Thanks for the reply, No, it shouldn't be. Vignetting would have appeared around the outside of the frame. I'm no physicist, but could it have been infra red flare?! I was photographing very close to the ground.

Gary:

Give us a more descriptive explanation of an "arch."

It's a mid grey tone, it looks exactly like a rainbow, but without the different colours if you understand.

I've just examined them and realize that the problem has only occurred when I used the ultra wide lens (40mm). So not a film problem, apart from the grey airbells!!!!!! on the negs. Another thread!

I think Howard is right--the hood wasn't on correctly on that wide lens--that's why the "arch" is only on one side of each frame.
