Match Report

The unusual suspects lined up in The Straabeery, alnog with a number of partners. The starting line-up included Pit Bill and Mrs PB, Clarky and Mrs Clarky, and Steph and Mr Steph. Screach made a late appearance to complete the complement of BBS players. We were joined by Pit Bill Jr and Ms Pit Bill Jrs (Jrs???) tho they declined to join the Old Fogies for the meal, preferring to stay in the Straabeery fer a beor. A swift half was enjoyed by all, and another by a few. At the appointed hour, the party headed out of the pub and into the p!$$!ng rain. Fortunately, Pit Bill had had the foresight to book a table just roond the corner and we arrived chez Julius Cesaer to find Nick (Callaghan - Buff's long-lost laddie??) already laying into the G&Ts in the cocktail bar.

We were quickly escorted to our table - towards the back of the establishment, no doubt to clear the cocktail area from public view so as not to discourage future diners. Clarky, again showing his business background, ordered a Pizza Roulette. The rest went for more "normal" seletions, apart from Bill Pit who opted for "Spaghetti Viagra". I'm not sure if that was an ingedient or an effect, but his pasta was rather difficult to keep on the plate, doing its best to stand upright all evening.

Clarky did his best to consume all the pizza the kitchen could manage, and only a communal decision to forego afters saved us from a plate of spotted pizza tiramasu with custard sauce a la Clarky being served up.

It was great to see Nick C and welcome him into the Straabeery Clique. Maybe if we lower the qualification age, we might get a few more takers next time. A thoroughly enjoyable night for all. Thanks PB. Who's up for a BBS Christmas Party??

I'll second that - many thanks to Pit Bill for organising a very enjoyable night. Hope the effects of your main course haven't worn off yet - at least you won't fall out of bed!

Anyone fancy a pizza?
