I have a Contax RTSll that the manufacturer tels me is not repairable because parts are not available. It need a "main board". I a don't want to believe that I can't get the camera fixed. I bought it new and just don't want to let it go. Where would I look for parts or does anybody have parts? Contax seems more interested in selling me a new body. I don't mind buying another camera.....I still want mine fixed.

mainboard means that the whole electronic will be changed, which is a lot of work to be done. Economically a repair makes no sense since you'd have to buy another RTS II (even a defect one with mechanical or shutter defects) and pay the costs. But if you want it to be repaired, look out for a _good_ repairman and ask him if he can exchange this (which most I guess will deny), look on eBay for another RTS II and maybe you'll be lucky.
