Northwest airline flight to Burlington, Vermont on Monday - all onboard going on antibiotics. White, powdery substance on board, shows a rod-like bacteria of same family as Anthrax. Sorry to be sketchy, speaking as I type. Whoops! typing as they speak. LOL

Let's hope this is one of those false positives.

On Monday? I don't recall this story.

Makes me really dread going to work, but someone has to be there to make sure the mail gets done, and done right.

I believe the flight itself was on Monday. From the phrasing, I think the "powder" was tested, and they've since discovered what I posted above. Long before being heard on CNN, however.

I'm still taking credit for when some of this bacillus stuff turns out to the the bti insecticide. Very easily obtained.

Bacillus thuringiensis, I think it is, something like that. Used on the garden to kill, um, I forgot. Japanese beetle larvae?

Bacillus thuringiensis

Whitney S. Cranshaw

Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is a naturally occurring bacterial disease of insects. Insecticides have been manufactured that contain this bacteria as the active ingredient.

Bacillus thuringiensis insecticides are most commonly used against certain leaf and needle-feeding caterpillars. Recently, strains of the bacteria have been produced that affect certain fly larvae, such as mosquitoes, and larvae of leaf beetles.

Bacillus thuringiensis is considered safe to humans and non-target species, such as wildlife. Some formulations can be used on essentially all food crops.
