Buildin a tripod, outside cookin and [preachin]

Cookin over an outside woodfire. It's easily done if ya'll prepare a mite. Make a tripod out of 3/4" electrical conduit. Weld'm together at the top and hang a chain down from that welded joint. A hook can be welded onto the top to adjust the chain length if it's wanted. I got real fancy and welded 1-3/4" pipe for one leg to -2- 1"X 6" pipe nipples. I drilled 2 holes in these nipples and then welded 2 nuts over those holes. I then threaded a bolt in each of those nuts and holes. I welded two handles over the bolt heads to make a T handle. Take two more 3/4"legs and slide inside those nipples with the T handles and use them for Locking bolts. When I want to take the tripod elsewhere I don't have any trouble removing 2 of those legs. This size pipe will support an iron kettle of about 2 or 3 gallons. For BIG kettles it would be wise to use about 2" pipe for the tipod.

I suppose ya'll are wonderin just what to cook. Well--how about a kettle of chowder? Dependin on the kettle size--! I use a 2 gallon kettle and throw in about 5 pounds of cubed beef roast, carrots, taters, onions, green beans, red beans, cabbage, sweet corn, black eyed peas, maters and some celery! Cook'm rite smart for a couple hours, slowly. Stir as needed to keep from stickin or burnin. After it's done and cooked down a mite it's time to try it out. Works rite well with a bunch of iced T and COMPANY! Country Grub llike this ain't meant to be et by yourself!

All God's children will be able to set down with the Lord Himself and eat at His table when we leave this life. Do ya'll have your free ticket yet? If you ain't---time is runnin out before He comes for His own. old hoot gibson. Matt.24:44

Another good one Hoot! I love to cook over an open fire. Won't it be great when all people are at peace and everyone has plenty? I hope many will seek their salvation before the time runs short...
