O.K. Alison, lets try something different, what is the only word in the English language that ends with the last letters being "mt"?

-- mitch hearn (moopups@citlink.net), October 17, 2001.

One time like i was late for the bus, and that was close, so i was like late for class, and the teacher...she was mad. Now thats kind of sad. EH? or how about if you're getting married, and you miss the church, but at least you show up in the garden beside the church. OH OH , how about if you don't get a Grammy, but you get nominated? thats kind of good. RIGHT? Hey i have a really good one. What if your in a Bull stampede, and you ALMOST get run over by one. THAT CLOSE did count.

Mitch-I know the word....only because I have a lot of them and almost always ask the same question in the morning that includes the word. Don't want to give it away too fast:) Although the clue maybe too easy.

O I C U R M T? How come it had to be the LAST letters? I can't use the dictionary for this one!!

-- Cathy N. (keeper8@attcanada.ca), October 17, 2001.

Oh geez louise Mitch!!!! Think think think think.......

-- Alison in N.S. (aproteau@istar.ca), October 18, 2001.

That was clever Cathy but: "Oh! I see you are empty" is not the answer I am looking for. Did that come out of the Reverse Dictionary? The word I am looking for describes a universal action and if you speak English you have spoke or written this word before.

man this is driving me mad. I have been going every word I can possible think of. Any more hints you can send this way would be helpful.

-- mindy (speciallady@countrylife.net), October 18, 2001.

Mindy, open those little peepers, shake out the sleepiness from that cute little pointy head (!?) and know that the word is used on the internet proabily more than 50,000 times. The answer is right there, as are the clues, you just have to inturpert it.

I'm going to go get some chow at the MENSA convention buffet, I never dreamed I could fit in there, I allways thought my organization would be named "DENSA"!!

I'll torment youall later....

-- mitch hearn (moopups@citlink.net), October 18, 2001.

Boy you really had me dreaming about that one. But with lots of brain power and torment. You had me stumt for a while but I found it. Should I tell you or should I keep the torment going

-- mindy (speciallady@countrylife.net), October 18, 2001.

Keep the torment going Mindy, you are still stumPed, maybe if you sleep on it.... you might dream the answer and no longer be stumped.

-- mitch hearn (moopups@citlink.net), October 18, 2001.

You know I think you dreamt this one up.

-- mindy (speciallady@countrylife.net), October 18, 2001.

No, there is a real word; whats going to be interesting is to sit back and wait to see if anybody comes up with it, this will be the most fun!!

-- mitch hearn (moopups@citlink.net), October 18, 2001.

dreamt is a real word. other than promt which is also a real word what is the other one?

-- mindy (speciallady@countrylife.net), October 18, 2001.

Mindy, I was trying to get you to join the joke without nameing the word obeviously to see if I could bait others to ignore what was in front of them. Also the word is spelled prompt, but dreamt is the right word.

-- mitch hearn (moopups@citlink.net), October 18, 2001.

I always SAID "dreamed", but I have heard (and seen) "dreamt". You got another stumper for us? These are fun.

-- Cathy N. (keeper8@attcanada.ca), October 18, 2001.

Sorry mitch I couldn't resist. I'll try harder next time.
