Robert not playing on Sunday?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Surely not. Anyone seen anything about this? I know he' s gone to a funeral but I would have thought he'd be back for sunday. We need him! Especially against an inform Spurs.

What did he say on his site again?

Well I'll answer my own question then! Seems he's back in England on Thursday and a late decision made on whether he will play or not.

He's in the middle of the Indian Ocean and supposedly won't be dipping his toes into the North Sea until at least Thursday. Gives him two days to recover...if he makes it back on time.

Well, Bernard played wide left last night for the Resorves, and had a canny game, tho not as influential as LR has been of late. YBR was there to see it all, so will probably be happy to play OB if LR isn't up to it after his return. AFter all, that's why we have such a big squad.....

No I'm sorry but I cannot believe BR won't play him. We're half the team without him.

How far away is this bloody place he's gone to anyway? How many time zones does he cross? If it's due South he won't be jet lagged just tired!

(Geography not my strong point)

It's in the Indian Ocean off Africa, havent' been able to find a map, but can't imagine it's that many time zones off BST. Did find the weather forecast however.

East of Madagascar - 20.9° S 55.5° E to be precise ;-)
Actually only 3 hours ahead, but fairly long flight no doubt.

Using expedia, it's an 11 hour flight from Paris..

I know his journey is for sombre reasons but you can't help thinking that a couple of days in the Indian Ocean won't help him adjust to wor weather...

Mebbes not in Consett pet but it's been glorious up here in the (almost) Scottish foothills. I think the whole squad should move in with me.

Like that sort of thing do you, Screach?

How mad or sad are we? Checking out where he's gone, for how long, how far it is, what time zones are crossed and timing of flights!!!!!!!!

It's funny though, what lengths we go to to support the Toon.

I could pick him up from the airport if he's tired.

Don't we loose another hour due to the loss of BST? Or do we gain one? I never could remember which way this goes Does it help or hinder the Robert cause

Said in the Times this am that he's def. going to miss the game. Mind you, that's another Murdoch rag....
