I have copied a dat file from vdc to my hard disk. I also have a cd-writer so i want create a vcd from the copied *.dat files which can be viewed in our home vcd palyer

If you have a CD writer, and you had the VCD... why didn't you do a straight copy..?

If you need to conver the *.DAT to a VCD format, try using http://vcdcutter.yeah.net

Works a treat. There is a DAT to MPEG feature on there.
