There was an article in the newspaper a while back (like last month) that mentioned one through the BBC (British Broadcasting Corp). I think it was geared toward travelers and it was online through their site. www.bbc.co.uk something, I think, or just look up the BBC.

You might also want to check out whatever tape classes are in the library or you might be able to borrow one through the school system.

I know you mention you're short of money, but you can get basic travel language courses for not very much money through bookstores, ebay, etc.

Also remember that unless you have someone to practice it with, you will lose the skills really fast. I never could understand the requirement to learn languages in school anyway--how many of us go to to Europe or Mexico on a daily basis, or even once a year?

This is not to discourage you from learning by any means, but for one thing you need to decide whether you want to learn "just enough to get by" or "the whole enchilada".

If you have satalite tv. there are childrens programs on the Spanish channels starting at preschool level. Spanish is spoke very fast so the adult channels are not the place to learn; the language is also gender specific, different words to describe the same actions; words ending in"a" for females and "o" for males.
