Hopkins Airport. Flight 456, Continental, from Las Vegas to Cleveland with 150 or so passengers on board. Quarantined at the airport. Testing team has arrived and is processing the material. No evidence to suppose it's anthrax, but are being sure.

I'd like to know more about the series of tests and what they are supposed to show along the way. At some point I read that "bacillus" had shown up on a culture. That's the genus that includes anthrax, but also a very common insecticide, bt. It has me wondering whether shavings of the bt pellets, which you can buy in any garden center, could give one or more initial false positives. Any thoughts?
