Is the new war a just war?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

under the just war theory we must have just cause, right intent and reasonable success. Are we following this theory in the new war against terriorism? What is the just cause, is it worth killing the civilians and do we have reasonable success? In your opinion what is the answer to the attacks on Sept.11 2001? Thank you for your time, I am a student and need this info. for a paper!!!!!!

Heather, we discussed this a bit last month.
Please take a look at the September thread.
God bless you.

I believe so. We are protecting the innocent of the world from further intentional attack. We have a reasonable possibility to suppress the threat. Our intent is to protect the innocent from further direct attack and bring those responsible to justice. Our response is proportational to the threat. We are no longer talking about catapults and rocks any longer but a far greater threat.
