OM-2n Shutter freeze problem

Hi, I have an Olympus OM-2(n) Camera. It's great but I have been having a problem with the shutter freezing up on me. I loose on average 4-6 pictures on a 36 exposure film. The shutter just freezes and I don't know why. I exchanged the batteries a few months ago and I plan on doing that again but I was wondering if anyone knew what if the problem could be something else. Thanks Vlad

Did the battery change fix it last time? That sounds like the most likely cause but an OM2N shouldn't eat them that fast.

Years ago I had OM2n's, or two of them. Shutter froze when using K25 film. When I got it back 'repaired' from the factory service, it still had the problem. Only used SR44 batteries. I had only problems, problems, problems. My solution: sell it or junk it. The OM4's never gave me a problem (except fast battery usage in the early production bodies.)
