Hi all

Got back from Turkmenistan last Monday and have been trying to gather whats been happening in my absence.

It was an intresting trip bought two beautiful carpets for my wife and visited the 3 pubs they have there. The situation became rather fraught after 11 September and although under no immediate danger, being a small mission one had to be aware of the security situation. If any of you have to fly Turkmenistan airlines it is quite an experience. Flew from Bangkok to Ashgabat and back on that airline and takes now about 10 hours each way. The only in-flight entertainment is the route map, the only magazines are the safety procedure ones, and dinner and breakast was identical!! It was quite a joy to get off at Bangkok and smell the deisel.

So now esconsed here n HK and to my joy found I Have put the Mags on a winning streak...What did I say about the boy Bellamy???

Any more transfer news in my absence?? PRUtton?? Carrick rumours??

Nice to be bac

Good to hear you're safe Derek. Who do you work for that takes you to such interesting places?

Well, just to stir things up a bit on a quiet Sunday evening - there was a story on the TOTT bbs last night that YKD was seen sitting in the away end at Anfield yesterday.
Who were they playing? Got it in one!!

Wll I can accept he was there but dont want to believe the storline that he wants to joined his over-rated friend Sir Les's neice. I think once he is really back n the fold with us and in the same lne up as Big Al, Robert, Bellamy, Nobby on form, and perhaps just one other MF/attacker who can hold the ball, beat a man, split defences um someone like WOr Pedro, he wouldnt want to leave. Perhaps its just my cock-eyed optimism. I honestly thnk, and I know it is a trite cliche, but I think we are perhaps 1 or 2 players away from a very very good team.

Just watching the team against Man U and a couple of other games when confidence seems to ooze and the ball is running for us we are as good if not better than the rest. And folks remember we played against a full-strength Manure team and with any sort of justification could have had 2 more goals. Now the WHU game after that was Lord Mayor show just cannot understand it. But hope spring

Clarky - Dyer was with Cort. Both watching the game together. Big game and then half hour up motorway for our match.

Does it mean Leeds want Cort as well!!!!!!!!!!!

Erm no dont think so Lynda,

Jumping to those conclusions, I beleive that Beckham once watched Wimbledon and Shearer watched Gateshead, also Kate Adie watches Sunderland. On second thorts might be a ploy there if ITV can lure superkev away sorri getting biazrre n me old age.

NO discount those rumours Dyer is staying with us. Said so in the Sun a few days ago (gulp)

I was joking re Cort btw but making the point that players watch other games.

As for Dyer, Leeds say they don't want him, as he is too expensive. May well be the case.
