NEW YORK -- A Delta Air Lines flight from John F. Kennedy Airport to Amsterdam was canceled after FBI agents detained two passengers, the agency said Saturday.
The two men scheduled to leave New York on Flight 80 on Friday night were taken into custody as questions arose about their travel documents, FBI spokesman Jim Margolin said.
The men were being held by immigration authorities, Margolin said, adding that he did not know their names or nationalities, or whether other passengers were on the plane or in the terminal when they were detained.
Delta spokeswoman Tracey Bowen would say only that the flight was canceled because of a "security-related issue." Passengers were rebooked on other flights, she said.
