This man called Jesus! He's Gods only Son! [Christian Material ]

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

The old gentleman lay on his death bed gasping for air. His family was gathered around his bed in restless anticipation of his "passing". The old dude was well thought of by all who knew him, including his immediate family. Only thing wrong with him---he was not a Christian. A good man but he had never had any need for that "Jesus stuff" --he could take care of himself and his family. He had too---financially! Worked hard all his life, frugal and actually a good stewart with all that Almighty God had entrusted to him----except---he had ignored the pleas of Jesus.

Alongside his bed also stood two "beings" waiting for him to give up his ghost. These "beings" were not "beings" of the Light! They were demons from the pits of hell awaiting his last breath. They had their orders--just like always. Claim his soul for satan and quickly make their way to the "bowels of the earth" with their newest claim.

Shortly the old man died! IMMEDIATELY he knew he'd made a big mistake by ignoring and rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior! It was too late--he was led by these demons of hell, one on each side of him, down this dark, decending pathway towards the screams and moans of hell. He prayed at each step he was dragged for God to reclaim his spirit and let him go back to have another chance. Jesus was watching as he was thrust into hell, tears in His eyes! He had died for the sins of the world and, like many many folks, He had been rejected by the very ones He had died for. No amount of praying, begging, crying or pleading would change this horrible situation. This much loved father, husband, neighbor and friend had his fate sealed and he had done it himself. For all eternity he will be in the clutches of satan and all those demons of hell. He recognized many of his acquaintances in hell--also in torment by the flame and "aloneness" but yet monitored very closely by the demons.

This story does not have an ending for the lost soul who was carried into hell for all eternity. The ONLY hope is for the commitment to be made BEFORE facing the last breath of ones' life. Jesus Christ is STILL in control and He's STILL in the saving business. If you don't know Him---why not? Come as you are--He will change you into the new person you need to be. The only requirment is to trust Him and let Him have His way with you. You'll NEVER regret it.

This was given to me this morning --in the wee hours--and He asked me to post it. I have in obedience to Him and with a heart filled with the Joy of my Salvation---I pray that if you don't know Him---this is written for YOU! I didn't mention the pits of fire, worms, smoke and other torments of hell. If He wants me to post it--I will at a later date. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to the Father. Please consider Him! Hoot e-mailed me before posting this thread because of the strong nature of it. I assured him that I knew he would only post what he felt was true and necessary. He carries a heavy responsibility in his heart to spread the word of the gospel. I am happy to give him his own "corner" on our little forum as I feel he is a fine person and a dedicated man of God.

Truly, people need to be ready to step on some toes with word of God, so people get out of their comfort zone and start questioning their beliefs. Its better for people to be hot or cold than luke warm. Along with this great hope of eternal salvation through Christ's precious blood that needs to be preached, we NEED to be praying sacrificially! On our faces asking for God to save souls. I go to a public school, very spiritually dead, and i have still had MANY MANY God given opportunities to share Gods word with those around me. I thank God for those times. But i am guilty of giving up after a while, and looking down because of how dead the world is. God wants us to be zealous and ready to go where he wants us too. Jesus came to serve and to minister to others, I pray and hope that christians all over the world will be challenged to do the same and live God fearing lives. IN how we approach people, we cannot scare them into chosing Christ, for by Gods grace He chose us. Only by the telling of Gods word and the Spirit going forth and breathing into souls life, can people be saved, and Yes, GOd is still in the saving business. Most of all we need to preach the blood of Gods son, shed for our sins. Telling people to repent from a Godless life. Thank you Lord for the hope of salvation and life eternal.

ANOther thing i didn't have the time to add last night was that , i don't believe the bible talks of Jesus begging and pleading someone to come to Him. When he called the disciples , he said "follow me", and they went . THere was no fighting and running away. yes there sometimes struggles and difficulty believing what the bible says, but Once Jesus calls , there is no saying no. The sheep know their shepherds voice! If any christians look back before they were saved, none of us desired GOd and yes we ran away from Him, we rejected the scripture. But once Jesus called our names , we became His. Remember before time in John 17, GOd gave Jesus those who would be His. SO just to clarify. Salvation is not our choice, we were spirituall discerned, and dead. But the spirit revived us.
