Well my mother almost called me daniel but Im glad she didn't as I'd have that Elton John song played at every birthday or family function.

I think "trojan" would be a good first name...

I always wanted to be a Ian cos there was a boy I grew up with called that who was just the bollox at everything - first riding a bike, first swimming, first kissing girlies etc. I wanted to be him so much.

And where is he now? I bet you expect me to say a binman in Fenham. No, he's living in tax exile in Monaco with his 3rd wife, who's all of 24. Made loadsamoney in the eighties, and again in the nineties. Still looks 30 (he's 40 next month) and is the nicest guy.

I hate the twat. Glad I wasn't called Ian.

Good name Ian!

Used to hate my middle name, Sinclair, as a kid (due to it's second syllable), but it's the reverse now if anything. Once you have kids of your own, you feel a lot more linked to the past and heritage, for want of a better word. Besides the Sinclair side of the family were all Geordies ;-)

being of Portuguese decent, I feel kinda lucky I didn't get caught with the Manuel, Tony (although my middle name is Anthony) or Joe, that is EXTREMELY popular in that part of the world. Also I'm extremely glad I didn't get hit with the "penis" names of Dick or Willie. Being one of the tallest in my class that would have been terrible in primary school being known as Big Dick or Big Willie, especially since it may have been quite the opposite story at the time.

In all I guess if I had had a choice, it would have to be something stunning, something catchy.....something like....Phil......

I always liked the name Jason when I was a kid. But maybe a cool name like 'quake', or 'Jesuschrist' or 'fuckmenow'.

Tripod, aye Clarky, that's a good one.

I'm glad that I wasn't called Gordon, then I'd sound like a reet tw@t, Gordon Gordon. It'd be like the Neville sisters' dad whose fantastic name is Neville Neville.

A girl I know took her husbands name, and became Jo Doe...which was a bit unfortunate.

I don't mind my name, but it would be amusing maybe to have something like Carlos, Enrique, Shirley, Stavros, or Napoleon.
