Need link to site that sells all kinds of old fashioned equipment.

Changed 'puters after rollover. Lost many of my bookmarks in doing so. And, of course, (LOL) memory fails me at this point.

Anyway, there is a store, catalogue, and website somewhere that sells all kinds of old fashioned tools and equipment. Think it might be in either the PA or OHIO area. Catered a lot to the Amish folks.

They had everything from woodstoves to oil lamps. Some really neat stuff there.

However, what I'm looking for is a wringer for my wet laundry to go through.

In '99 I bought one of those metal pails with the wringer attached, but I had never tried it until yesterday. What a pain in the ass! Your need three arms and four legs to work with the darn thing! Glad I didn't wait until I really needed to use it.

Remember when I was a kid, we had an old wringer attached to a round washer. Later the wringer was attached to the garage sink. Very handy as I recall.

Thinking maybe that store would have such a wringer.

Thanks for any help.

Aw gawd, time to trot out my "when I was poor" tale. I washed laundry in the bath tub, treading it like grapes. Same works for rinsing, of course. Wish I weighed as much then as I do now--sure would have made the treading/wringing part faster :)

Cumberland General Store is in TN. Cumberland General Store

They have a much more extensive selection.

Another one you might want is Jade Mountain for sustainable living. Jade Mountain

Hehehe, OG, know what ya mean.

I use a plunger now, but it's when I need to wring something out that I've got problems. I've got the beginnings of arthritis in my hands, so that's why I'm looking for a wringer.

The wringers at Lehmans cost $119 for one model and $165 for another. Hoped to find one for less. Maybe I need to check out flea markets and old junk stores.

Lurkess, try looking at those commercial MOP BUCKETS with the wringer for the mop. The amount you can rinse/wring won't be nearly as big, but I've seen them very reasonably priced. Heck, I've even seen some at WalMarts.

Speaking of wringer on wash bucket, maybe janitorial supply.
