Flying to Newcastle?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I'm planning to come up to see my parents in a couple of weeks and I'm looking into the possibility of flying up to Newcastle. Has anyone out there ever flown from around the midlands to Newcastle and if so, what airline did you travel with?

Hopefully I should be attending my first game of the season versus Spurs as long as I can get some tickets.

DeB, I'd be surprised if there are any flights from Brum or E Mids to Toon. Probably train is best. Mind, whatever, we demand you come to the Straabeery and buy your round ;-)) ANd if you can't get tix (sure you will) you can always watch it in the Straabeery while you get gently p1$hed).

According to Expedia, British Airways have direct flights daily from Brum to Toon. Cost a million bucks though.

If your near Stanstead, GO will get you to toon for £10, once youve travelled to the airport, got the Metty to toon etc, you may as well go by train.
