Aw, Berman on nights.

Al - you at your new fancy job? Let us know how goes it.

Answers

I believe Al is at her fancy new job.

Hee! Heh. Ha. He.

AB - I think I'll be Starlight for Halloween.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

But if you did that, T, you couldn't go anywhere! Except for maybe other rooms in your house.

Only three more days? Man, y'all, I don't have shee-yit done yet. And my flight leaves Friday at 7 am.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

What do you need to do before you get there? Do you present something at journalcon? Is there swag swap?

And speaking of swag, I am making the coolest things for the girls in the wedding party. I'm talking fleur-di-lis, vellum envelopes, and sealing wax. You can't go wrong with sealing wax, I tell you what.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

But if you did that, T, you couldn't go anywhere! Except for maybe other rooms in your house.

Hahahahahaha. HEH. HA! We'll all be Starlight.

I wish I were going to JCon, but I ain't got no money honey, and there's no way I could get Friday off. Boo.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I need to get my shit together, is basically what I had needed to do. Pack, and finish the swag, and Keli's bringing us all special surprises, and I feel like I need to reciprocate, but I don't know what to get! Any ideas?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

No. But can I say again how jealous I am that you're going?

And I want some of Sara Astruc's swag. And Keli's. Heck, just pick me up a copy of everyone's swag. That shouldn't be too hard, should it?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I don't think Sara's going. But I'll try to get some of her swag for you. Hee. Heehee. Heheeeeeh!

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Oh, and if we're all going as starlight, we need some anime cells to sell on ebay, right?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Yeah, Sara's not going. The only person I'd really like to meet is Jessamyn. She seems fun. And see AB! I'm surprised Keli is flying. It's not a far drive. About the same as Pittsburgh from where she lives.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

See, if we were meanies, we could have a "name that journaller" thread. But that wouldn't be nice at all, and we're nice people.

Heh.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Y'all, speaking of Starlight, I can't imagine she'll ever leave the hosue again, what with all this anthrax stuff going on. I'm surprised she hasn't posted any suspicions that she has anthrax, in fact.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Couldn't you just drive up on Saturday, H? Just for a little while? Just long enough to get drunk? Or, uh, I mean, say Hi?

I'm excited about meeting Jessamyn, too. And even mean old Dana.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Wait - will both Dana and Rob be there?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Yes, they are both going. But not staying together--Dana's rooming with Jessamyn. I'm sure there will still be scandal, though.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Oh, there's always scandal.

I'm trying to think of what swag I could possibly bring, were I going. I'm drawing a blank.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

If I were going, I think I would have to bring little chickens.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

...And one day, mark my words, I'll have a chicken in my design.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Oh yes, you would!

That could get kind of messy though.

Wait - Mike, you worked last night and now you're there again? Those people!

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Oh, not real chickens. Little pretend ones.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

This one is my fault. It's a friend's birthday tonight, and I forgot, so I'm doing this schedule switch to myself.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Poor Mike.

So, I'd like to read some Gilmore Girls show recaps, but tell me, is there anyplace other than MBTV that has recaps? Because I cannot endure that site anymore. It takes FOREVAH to load each page, and each recap has eighty million pages. I never make it past the 4th page, which really kind of defeats their whole page-view strategy, don't you think?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I'm sure there are. Google it. I know MBTV makes me crazy, but Kim does the best reality show recaps.

I can't watch it because we don't get primetime WB. It SUCKS.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

How can y'all not get primetime WB? I mean, you're in the Heartland, and they broadcast 7th Heaven. It makes no sense to me.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

The WB and UPN share a channel (which isn't that uncommon, I guess) and the show the WB during the day and UPN at night. It blows. So they show WB shows at like 10 p.m. on random days. That's why I stopped watching Felicity, but I'd catch Gilmore Girls whenever I'd be around at like 7 p.m. on Saturdays.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Herro?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Yes?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

It's almost lunchtime. What to eat? Soup, perhaps?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I was just wondering where you'd all done gone, that's all.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I had went to smoke. I just actually had to work for about the second time since I've been here. Whee!

T, have you seen this website? http://www.wedthings.com

It has the coolest stuff. I wish I'd known about it!

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Ooh - they have some neat things. We're definitely going to have Jordan almonds for the favors - they're my dad's favorite candy. Thankfully, my sister works for a candy store and she can get us almonds in any color at cost. Since we'll need so many favors, we'll probably just put them in net.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Herro? Where you go?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Lunch. Mmm. Lunch.

I'm going to try and update a bunch of times tomorrow, so I'll look good if anyone accesses my site at JournalCon. Why that would happen, I have no idea. But there you go.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Mike's all about looking good for the cool kids.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I wanna be a Supahstah! What's wrong with that?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I had a roasted veggie sandwich from the Corner Bakery. Mmmmm.

Along those same lines, Mike, I was thinking of bringing my laptop. But then, what for? Hotel probably no have internet access.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Could you dial up AB? You should update from there if you can! How fun would that be.

Paging Al Lowe - please check in. Lowe to the front desk.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I thnk just about every hotel has in-room dialup, at least.

I had Zocalo. Goooooood Mexican food. You can't go wrong with black bean cakes and a mole taco, I tell you what. And tomato-lime soup. Yum. Food good.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I don't know--I don't think I have a dial-up account with @home. Hmmm. I'll have to check into that.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Oh, you have to update!

And seriously, I work from 9p-5a on Saturday (don't even ask), so I'll need some sort of JournalCon phone call to get me through that hell.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Ah! We need a new question on Plus One. Anyone got anything?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Oh, shit. I had one this morning, but it completely escapes me right now.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I was going to post one about eloping, but I think we're pretty wedding-ed out. And most of our posters are already married.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Oh Mike, good question.

Melissa is a LOON.

Nhttp://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?itemid=12273371&nc =11

Notice how she often calls people who disagree with her "irrational" and she'd not a "lawyer."

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Yeah, but it's hard to answer.

That's my entry for tomorrow. But it won't be up until late, since I work the overnight.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Also, I hate the "Hitler was elected" argument. He used the chaos of German democracy to take power, but he did not achieve his personal power via election.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I can NOT type today. I know, she's a LOON. A loon who loves her some Mike though. Hee.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

You notice we're all in her links now? Creepy. She's creepy!

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I know someone who must have gone to law school with her, but I'm afraid to ask about her ... lest bad things happen.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Except for me!! My password protection thwarts her creepy ass.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Speaking of creepy, some weird guy was walking to the parking lot in front of me the other day. He kept looking back at me, and when he got to his car, stood there and didn't get in. I was all freaking out and went to the other side of my car to get in, and then some other people walked up and the guy got in his car and sped away. Creeeeepy.

I had my keys out and I have a knife on there. I would have stabbed his weird ass if he'd come near me.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I like to say creepy ass and werid ass.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Mike - you must ask. You could say that you have a friend in FLorida who ran into this girl who went to law schol at GW, or something.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Yeah, maybe I'll do that.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

You wanted to ask Meloonsa about it or your friend?

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Starlight's forum is easy to use, but that big creepy anime face scares me.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Oh, my friend. I hope never to talk with Meloonsa.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Good lord. Send Mike into the crazy-ass lion's den? No, thanks.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

I'll be out tomorrow and Friday - I'll be in Litle Rock. Hopefully, there will be some internet access. That's what I'm talking about.

-- Anonymous, October 10, 2001

Fly safe T Town!

I'm out too.

Al - if you check in, I hope your first day was a smashing success and update us on Bill Lowe!
