There were at least 4000 of us: that stand takes 6000. All things considered, I'm amazed there were that many. There was also an entire corner in the home supporters' area for some reason (probably because of NUFC's incompetence at ticket distribution).

the Barnsley crowd was roughly 2500 bigger than the one their near neighbours Sheff Wed had in the last round, but that's probably because Barnsley have better supporters

We did see one Makem en route. He was wandering around Wooley Edge Services. I couldn't work out whether he was still dazed from the previous round or whether he thought they were still in the cup and looking for the game.
