He's saying he wants to stay at Rangers, though talks are continuing on a new contract. If for some reason he can't agree a new contract, he could be worth a look to shore up our midfield. The US midfield is headless without him. From what I've seen he's the ballwinning, creative type. I'm interested in the views of our Scotland-based bbsers who would see him more regularly. Does he look like he could make it in the EPL?

He'd do fine, he looks the part, worldly wise in what he does and keeps their midfield ticking along

Don't mind French, Spanish, South American players in the squad but we don't want Americans in the team.

Hard call this one Ciara, I have no problems him fitting into a team pattern I could envisage , sufferered a groin injury and his sojourns with the USA did not help but you asked so here goes, a bliddy good pro when playing regular, not one to make the hairs stand out on the neck, but solid , dependable and honest. A majority would say his best position is right midfield ,(Toon are bogged down there), for me I would play him at right back in the current situation with the option for midfield a good pick for a manager, He is more of what Atkinson would call a ` give and go` type of player , than say for comparision Barry Ferguson who changes the direction of play and hits longer passes. *will keep our average height stable.
