Terrific composition! But I might either crop it to 4x5 proportions to eliminate the white at the upper right corner or else digitally complete the checkerboard pattern. And maybe a bit of contrast enhancement.

I like the floor as is, it's like another dimension. After scrutinzing (?) the more obvious elements that floor adds another level to the viewing pleasure. Realy quite snappy!
