Barnesly Match Thread

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Good Afternoon from sunny Annapolis!

Anyone listening to the match on the web or radio and posting updates? I'm stuck behind a firewall and can't get out. :-(

Any team news? Haven't been able to read the BBS much the last few days and feel completely out of the loop.

Answers

Hi Ciara, fifteen minutes to kick off, looks like just you and me so far. I,ll try to keep updates coming but we are at the whim of the webcast, if you know what I mean.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

No line up yet, however they say Bernard will start at Left Back and Wozza is at right back.(Griff injured)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

good evening people

pete in ramsgate right here on and off

Clarky too I expect - see other thread

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Team: Haper, Barton, O'Brien, Distin, Bernard. Solano, Lee, Speed. Robert, Shearer, Bellamy. On the Bench are: Given, Hughes, Lua Lua, Shola and Acuna.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Mackem reject Lumsden playing for them.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Toon Army in fine voice, they reckon around 4000 toon fans there.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Sh!te, they almost scored. Bernard clears off the line.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

so much for Speed/Bellamy getting a rest

Has Bassedas got ANY future at SJP

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Skins and bananas?

nervous

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Seems YBR has serious blinkers on when it comes to team selection. At least he gave Bernard a run tonight.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

End to end boys and girls...

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Robert misses from free kick.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Oohhh FK edge of the box, for us

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Sorry was eating a banana, had to walk away from my desk to get some files...now where did that peel go?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Robert curls it over the bar.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

ahh....there it is. Could someone get Screach or Dougal to pick it up for me?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

hey Softie, don't often see you on a matchday thread. How are things? Are Nicola and Softie jr well?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Leeds 2 nowt up

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Little Bob is just grand but Mrs Softie has had her back f**ked up again by some nice person driving into her when she was waiting at a roundabout - not an ideal way to recover from spinal surgery. Just means I can't get away for a bit longer :-(

Howay Toon! Sounding a bit ragged...

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Who did Coventry whup to get through again?;-)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

"Here comes Bruce Dyer, he's got the better of Sylvain Distin, and Barnsley have a corner"

Canny player that Distin

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

You mean we change the names at the back, but the same old problems...

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Great save from Robert's shot

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Shite! Great save from Marriott to deny Robert after Lee and Speed combined to put him through. Corner.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

What is he supposed to have ..pace???

spurs 1 nowt up at Tranmere

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Come on

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Is the Metro commentator on drugs or just from Middlesbrough...he thinks that the gloom of the evening is the afternoon.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I reckon Barton will score first.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Lorron Robe Air

That's what the Metro commentator is saying.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Lilely to be brighter in Barnsley after 8pm than in the Smogland at midday

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Maybe he means Flatulent Dressing Gown?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Terrible news about Mrs S. :-( Give her my best wishes for a quick recovery.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Damn that Marriott.

Just 'cos you're named after a hotel doesn't mean that you can stop Bellamy scoring

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I think our lads are quite capable of missing the goal without Barnesly building a hotel in the goalmouth. ;-)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Bellamy needs to practice his shooting from the looks of things.

We seem to be doing canny now though

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Jesus, you just know we are going to regret all these missed chances.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Sounds like we are all ower them, so we know what's coming next don't we?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I know, creating loads of chances, not scoring them, sounds all too familiar.

Sounds like we are dominating though

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Brentford qouta..hope not

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

The crowd are quiet

Sounds like a lower league game

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

and a dreadful lapse in concentration at the back.....

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Evening all.... and howay!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Just got back today folks how long we been playing??? Confused with time just woke up tis 3.21 here.

Not making any more predicitions. Rather glad to back from there tho

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

arghh...we need a goal! This is making me nervous!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Just making sure they don't have Ian Woan, Graham Fenton, Matt Le Tissier or Eric Cantona on the bench :-(

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Or Gustavo Poyet

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Speed booked

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

This is my first time listening to Webcast and clicking on BBS at same time. It's terrible, too nervous. (Match thread virgin!)

Couldn't go to the match unfortunately but wish I could have. I'm a very poor listener.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Just over half an our gone derek, could/should be a couple of goals up by now.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Ciara!!!! How can you possibly call for a goal without saying it's for us?!?!? I am holding you personally responsible for the inevitable....

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Barnsley denied a run on goal by the referee.

The free kick is still dangerous though............................headed away by Newcastle

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

8.20 you moron, how can that be the afternoon?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

My first webcast as well. Work intranet bars the thing... now connected legally.

Some singing needed....
"I went to Blaydon races 'twas on the 8th of June..

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I said we Softie! Last time I looked, there were no Barnesly shirts in my closet. ;-)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Man, so many chances, so little conviction

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Newcastle United have a free kick just outside the centre circle in Barnsley territory

We now have a player called Bolano as well, must have an Italian passport now :)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Coventry 0-Chelsea 0

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Shhh...he changed his name for the new passport hoping nobody would notice.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Derek, it,s about eight minutes to half time.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

He said afternoon again the thick prat

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Good afternoon one & all (well it is here Softie !). Finally made it online. Nearly half time is it ?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Every time I hear the name of Rory Fannen I think it is some sort of innuendo but can't work out why. Any ideas??

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

If this is a draw AET is there a replay?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I guess technically he's right, it is afternoon. If it was before noon it would be morning.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Oh this is terrible, I might have to go and watch the telly!

I feel for you lot who only have this instead of going to the match. Sooooooo nerve wracking but I suppose it's better than listening on your own.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

It's afternoon here. ;-))

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

out of beer, anyone want a glass of this Frascati?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

You get used to it Lynda. Still nerve wracking and even more frustrating when you can't listen to anything at all. Leaves one feeling very helpless.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

PENALTY REF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU BLIND????

bah!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Whoops got a bit excited then. Penalty?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

deffo looked like a pen from here ;-)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Does it go with M & M's, Geordie? I'll have some. Saves me from walking over to the water cooler.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Has to be settled today I think True - extra time then pens. Umm can't wait ...

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

IF taht is a genuine appeal it makes three in a row turned down

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Cheeky bloody Barnsley fans slagging Shearer off.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Penalty to who???

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Alreet?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

No penalty Ciara, Shearer fell doon in the box.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

No reports as yet on 5 live

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

pen to us (maybe!) ...
Ciara, your wine is on the table beside you....

ANYTHING goes with M&Ms

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Shearer misses a chance

Dammit

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Cheers, Geordie. From the sounds of this I may get rid of the M & Ms and stick solely to wine. And lots of it!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

what chance our lot keeping a clean sheet

on second thought dont answer

Spurs two up

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Is Solano playing??

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Evening Mr. Maier. How's (to use the modern parlance) it hanging?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Half time, 0-0

Their keeper is doing well

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

optimistic shot from Robert ... easy save.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

or is he having an infamous away day

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Have our players forgotten how to score goals?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Ciara its 3.40 n the morning dont call me a moron Im doing me best

No-one mentioned big al yet??

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Oh well, at least Sunderland aren't winning

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I thought the announcer was the moron. Just joking Derek. :-)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Right.... Frascati is finished so I'm off to the cellar garage to get a bottle of red

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

So is more traffic happening down our left with Bernard playing behind Robert ? Anyone got pictures ?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

bollocks

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Wait...try that again... I was kidding around and thought the announcer was the moron. Oh never mind. Would like some virtual wine? :-)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Do I take it you draw the line at me asking that Geordie ??

;O))

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Don't mention alcohol anymore. I'm desperate for a drink! Supposed to be alcohol free just now due to medication (!) It's terrible. Only thing in the house is some peach snapps (ugh) and gin with no mixer.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Sorry 'bout that LT ... wine and HTML don't mix!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Lynda.... vodka and peach schnapps goes ok so use the schnapps as a mixer with the gin ... loads of ice and you'll be fine :-)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Doin' alreet shaggaz..playing internet word games so excuse me if distracted....

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Anyone finding this page takes ages to load?

It took 2 minutes to refresh the full page just before.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

S*d that. Go to Friends Reunited, check out the names of Euan Menzies' kids then come back here with your thoughts.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

just found a dozen bottles of Kronenbourg 1664 in the fridge in the garage... unfortunately I don't get on with beer once I've started the wine. Anyone got any nibbles?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

YEEEEAAAAAASSSSSS BARTON GET IN 1-0!!!!!!!!!!!

(just practicing in case it happens)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

TOTT half time report says we should have been three nil up

oh god no

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

In the meantime I'll practise not puting my e-mail addy in the name box.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

The frivolous tone and smutty inuendoes littering this thread are incompatible with the serious business in hand.
Please desist.
I excuse you Lynda from this homily as you are clearly ill or unhinged.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Geordie I now have the schnapps plus the gin in a glass with lots of ice as advised. It's horrible but I'm drinking it anyway. After 2 of these it won't matter what it tastes like!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Geordie, doesn't everyone have nibbles?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Isn't being unhinged a prerequisite for following the Toon? Or does following the Toon make a person unhinged? Chicken/egg?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I look forward to your serious match analysis in the 2nd half True ;-)

I will cease posting as I'm always either frivolous or smutty .... or both

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Clearly unhinged or ill - probably both! Years of watching rubbish football unfortunately.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Yep, been there already.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

M & Ms for everyone! I've set the bowl out, help yourselves.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Just to cheer everyone up in these times of lack of decent alcohol.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Lynda, squeeze some lime in! .. actuallly take the schnapps back out and just have the straight gin and a healthy squidge of lime

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Blimey, the Missus used the phone ("I hadn't realised" my arse!) and I come back to find I've unintentionally insulted one of our friends in Japan. The moron in question is the commentator who is stoically sticking to his original premise that this is the afternoon. I can only hope that he was due to finish at 5.00pm and is just trying to wind his station manager up (as opposed to his watch).

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Nice one Paul! That should speed the thread loading time ;-((((

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Also the nickname that Hunns reckons he went by.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

It's still the afternoon on Metro. Do they have an e-mail address?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

HOWAY THE LADS!!!

dunch 'em

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Here we go, no changes. I heard Bobby had them practicing for the penalty shoot out

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Maybe they're making up for a match a few weeks ago that took place in the afternoon, but the announcer kept calling it evening.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

come on Softie... you can't expect media companies to have email!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

9th of June Geoddie....9th of June 1862

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Well if it goes to extra time and penalties, we'll win because I won't be here to read the thread until a result is decided. I'm outta here at 430pm my time. A little over 1/2 hr from now.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Robbespierre still causing Terror on the wing.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

we're on the attack

commentator just said Dyer was playing "for Newcastle United"

Good save by Harper.... hold on folks

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Dyer is playing for us or we're playing dire? ;-))

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I wish Dyer was playing for us. Kieron that is.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

It's like listening to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers:

Give it away give it away give it away now!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Ciara - Have you always been in Anapolis? Have we already had this conversation? My Uncle/Aunt live in Anapolis and a English friend lives across town...

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

well spotted bob! Authentic atmosphere then as nee bugger at the match gets it right..

I went to Blaydon Races 'twas on the 9th of June
eighteen hundred and sixty two on a summer's afternoon....

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

No lime unfortunately but I'm getting a taste for this schnapps now.

Howay man lads this is terrible - score a bloody goal man!!!!!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Firatr bit of action for Harper tonight. Hopefully the last bit he gets as well.

(The picture of Peytar shouldn't slow it down as pictures are stored on your computer for your recent pages.)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

no change from Liverpool then

pass and move, retain the ball...Primary school

Leiceter 0 - Leeds 5

How many did we put past Leicester

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

We no longer seem to know the way to Blaydon: we go along Scotswood Road twice but never seem to find our way along Collingwood Street.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

probably because it isnt spelt

rue de Scotswood

or Avenue de Collingwood

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Aren't these optical mice great? They work on the settee I'm sitting on.

Seems like we deserve to score but as long as Bellamy is on the end of it we don't seem to be able to hit the target, never mind score.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Coventry 0 - Chelsea 1

and the only Premier league side playing away against lower league oposition is...

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

5-0 to Leeds at Filbert Street. I bet Mr Taylor is laughing his feet off.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

'Gary Speed gives the ball away'............hmmmmmmmmm.

Bellamy misses...............

I hope Bellamy isn't Gallagher in disguise. i.e. runs his heart out but just can't score goals.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

should've scored..... miss by Bellamy

The Lads are turning up the heat. Commentator reckons we MUST score ... so we may as well give up now :-(

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Is Shearer on the end of anything?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

took the bus from Balmbras aand she was heavy laden away we went doon Collingwood Street That's on the road to Blaydon

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

&deity ... that was close!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

No doubt our wing play is being matched with powreful running through the middle of the field as well as accurate pasing

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Just realised what I just said:

"Firatr bit of action for Harper tonight"

That should be little bit of action, how the hell I managed Firatr I don't know, and that's without any alcohol.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Bloody hell! This is a (not very good) first div side we're playing here. God help us.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

If this was us under pressure we'd expect them to score. Why is that?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

At least we are still trying. Last season we may have given up after not scoring with that many chances.

Seems like it's only a matter of time before we get one, but whether that is a goal or a dirty sheet I don't know.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Chelsea 2-0 up

two claer chances in the second half

Clinical finishing - Forsell and Gudjohnson

Leeds 6 up

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Bellamy wants an extra-time hattrick.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Only us and Pool not winning out of all the PL sides. Still plenty of time right ?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Another pen not given.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Yet another miss after another refused penalty appeal.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Bellamy pushed off the ball, the referee turns it away.

Now Shearer shoots and puts it wide, but at least he had a shot.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Shearer goes close - just wide.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

and who was brought down this time?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Just working in Annapolis right now, Dan. I live about 20mi north, in Glen Burnie.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

3 weeks away from geordieland now, listening to this match,is it worth coming home?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Get Shola on Bobby, Parkin is clumsy enough to gift us a pen when he shows him the drag back.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

argh!!! HOway Toon, give me a goal before I go home!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I would have had him on already

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

No subs from Bobby yet. No suprise there. Put Lua Lua on, I say for the last 15 mins. He NEVER does.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

All we are saying is give us a (Newcastle United) goal!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Aye, Shola can get on. I personally would have started with Shola, since Bellamy played for Wales at the weekend.

6-0 to Leeds

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Is Nobby involved in any way?

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Off to watch sky - see yiz

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Make that 20 odd minutes. The clock on this computer is wrong.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

hey Ciara.... did you just scoff the last of the M&M's?

CORNER

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Right I'll be off to watch Sky myself shortly. This is a nightmare.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I hope we don't end up with a penalty shoot out...

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Sorry, nobody else seemed to want the green ones. :-)

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I'm going to spend the last half hour with my trousers round my ankles to see if it helps (if t does I will doubtless be arrested at the next home game)....

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Be inclined to take off Al and allow pace and trickery as opposed to the big one pace fella. and I say that with respect

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Nearly a goal for Barnsley there.

Get the subs on man, we need them

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Crewe 2 - Ipswich 3

For gods sake lads

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

oh dear

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

If we lose this one I'm going to pull my bottom lip over my head and swallow myself.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

We are trying hard to throw this game away. I say get Lua Lua on, and soon.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Hmmm. Obviously need to wear a colander on my head as well.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

how many goals scored in the last 4 matches

1 by my counting against Leicester at home

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

howay lads this isn't funny any more

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Commentator Bellamy: You've gotta fancy him

Ahem ... I don't think so.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Where did Robert go, haven't heard his name in half an hour.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Drink, drink wherever we may be
'cos we are the drunk and disorderly...

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Leave Shearer on in case we get penalties

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

its not funny, its predictable

i gave liverpools defence and midfiled credit

i publicly take that back

it was our unimaginative uninventive lot

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

hmmm... penalties. I can hardly wait!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Robert denied by Marriott...again

Barnsley counter attack only to be stopped by Olivier

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Hiding on the left coz solano is hiding on the right

that leaves Lee and Speed to penetrate through the centre

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Distin hits the post, ball nowhere near him though

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

free kick for us.. edge of area.... come on!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

It's amazing. Every game we start off as enthusiastic as the kids from Fame and end up turning into the old gits from the Muppets. A microcosm of Life in 90 minutes :-(

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Paul you're about a minute ahead of us, your posts arrive before the commentary.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

30 seconds on the webcast - 1-0 after 79 minutes - Robert > Bellamy Gooal

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Ha! Hadn't even closed the window yet. Works like a charm. :-D

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Ouch! Don't leap up to run around with your trousers round your ankles. It leads to bruises.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

NOW DON"T BERLOODY LOSE IT!!!!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

That was some comment Ciara, you need to leave work more often.

10 minutes left, come on there's still time for a hat trick

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Well if we can't break Barnsley down we'll certainly struggle against Bolton, not to mention practically every other team in the PL.

We had a very brief period of optimism early in the season but alas it has now all turned to cack.

Teams have us totally sussed. Starve the wingers of the ball, they get fed up and go to sleep, then they know we haven't got a creative player in the midfield so they just sit in there. Clueless.

Softie, you realize you're going to have to start wearing your trousers round your ankles at every match from this point forward.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

I just watched yesterday, Bellamy making the winner aganst manure , which didnt get much publicity. I said b4 the season he could be the one..

Hes awesomely fast and given wee bit better first touch could be really canny

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to hear Newcastle win away .. oh!

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

You can just hear the Barnsley fans walking away from this can't you - "There's really not much of a gap between us and the top half of the PL"

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Nightall. I don't think I'll bother watching the lowlights on TTTV at 11.40.

g'night all

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Gday all and tks for your company

On a winning streak again???

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Barnsley were utter shite from the sounds of it, we never really got out of first gear - but there was no need to.

A nice clean sheet though, Distin and Bernard's first starts and we keep a clean sheet. Nice to be able to feel my heart beating normally again after that tense finish.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Goodnight. Me and my schnapps/gin concoction are off.

Why oh why do we put ourselves through it. Look forward to match reports on here.

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Good match thread btw, night night

-- Anonymous, October 09, 2001

Well I see my leaving early during a Worthless match has worked again. When's the next round? ;-)
