Praise the Lord, we closed on our property yesterday. Have enough room to grow crops, goats, chickens, rabbits and pigs. Also got a peach and pear tree on the property and they guy is giving us three wood burning stoves and selling a roto tiller. House came with a freezer and we bought another day before yesterday for $25.

God is so good!

Thanks Everybody!

Well, according to hubby we won't be able to move down until the end of Feb. Sure wish God would provide another job for him before then. The job we have right now is stressing us out to the max, and hubby has this fear of financial insecurity thingy going.

I can see his point, we get two weeks paid vacation if we hold out until after feb 14th. We neeeeedddd a vacation!!!

I told him we had to get moved in in time to get the garden in or we wouldn't be able to afford to feed any livestock.

The guy that is selling us the place also offered to plow the feild for us when it came time. There is also some maple trees on the property so when they mature we can have maple syrup.

Some guy came in today and his wife works at the ag dept. in the marketing dept. He said that his wife helps farmers market their products. Anything that is added value like honey, apple butter, cheese, cornmeal, preserves, etc. If I can get this thing up and runnin' this spring I should be able to sell something from my labors by the following year???

He gave me her number and I sure am going to hang onto it. I didn't know the ag dept helped you find markets for your stuff. It would be nice to go to one of these tourist spots and see some of my preserves sittin on the shelf. Or, see some of my goatmilk soap sittin in a basket.
