That's what Colin said when Jim left isn't it?

Screach and I are going, but none of the other people we invited replied so I think it's just us.

Clarky's also gannin to chaperone me ;-))

Unfortunately, Clarky isn't going to the game after all. He called the TO at lunch-time to check ticket availability, and was told they had plenty left. He told them he couldn't pick up the ticket until 4:00-4:15pm - "Are you sure that will be OK? Could you put one to one side for me - just in case?". "That won't be necessary - we don't close until 5pm"

So, I roll up at 4:15pm to get my ticket, and then stroll down to the Central Stn. to meet Screacher & Dougal. "I'm terribly sorry, but all the spare Barnsley tickets have been returned to Barnsley".

"But someone here told me at lunch-time that I could get a ticket at up to 5pm!!!"

"I'm sorry, but there's nothing I can do about it - all the tickets were returned half an hour ago. However, I believe you should be able to get one at Barnsley".

Yeh right, as though anyone could believe anything these incompetent buffoons tell you. This was my first "experience" of our wonderful Ticket Office since queueing over 2 hours to collect my pre-paid ticket for the England Game.

So, I went off back home....gently fizzing. Tossers!

So let's just have a head count: who's been let down by the ticket office this season...oh, that'll be everyone then.

You'll doubtless be able to add my name to the list when I hit the UK in a few weeks time Softie. Unless of course I manage to get sorted out for December games by those nice handsome folk on here (grovel grovel)

There were quite a lot of spare seats (pay on the gate) tonight. Dot Com were right.

It wouldn't have been that surprising had the police stopped them from doing it. Hardly following the principle of excluding known trouble makers to be able to pay on the gate, is it?

That was precisely my concern Softie - travel for 2-3 hours on the say-so of the NUFC TO only to find the local constabulary have a different opinion of selling tix.

Those tix, of course, could have been bought by lercal hoolies to create mayhem.
