Griffin In jured???

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Unless I'm reading it wrong, NUFC.COM are saying that Griffin now has a hamstring injury (in their match preview). If this is true, we surely need to be looking for a new right back as he is about as injury-prone as Goma et al and we obviously can't depend on Wozza forever.

This morning's Journal says that with Griffin suffering from a groin strain, Barton will play RB tonight - "and the band played believe it if you like!!"

Caldwell's not in the squad, presumably to ensure that he's not Cup tied or because of the rumoured loan to Blackpool.

I would have tried Ryan McGuffie.

There's always the Hughes option at RB.

Gary Caldwell at right back would be better than Barton. In fact ANYONE would be better than Barton.

Distin Dabz O'brien Hughes
