Links to News and other lines I use

greenspun.com : LUSENET : One Abode : One Thread

I've had a lot of things come across my light table here - news and such - that I've been tempted to pass on, but haven't. However, it does strike me that I see things that you might find interesting, so I thought I'd link them here. This is also an extremely effective personal web-management tool, so you'll see links here that I don't necessarily want to share with you (but you might find them interesting). I 'm able to use Greenspun's software like I would a bookmarks system in a conventional browser, but since I usually browse in LYNX, this serves to hold the URLs I want to grab with a minimum of edit/management on my part.

The Grassroots Information Coordination Center (GICC) is quite useful for reading vetted news with clear subject lines. It's well archived. There are rules for posting from citizen reporters, and side-chatter is expunged from the Board regularly. These folks deserve some kind of an award for their diligent and selfless journalism.

This is the link to The Drudge Report

I don't subscribe to the editorial opinions, but they maintain active links to all the news agencies, so I can get a quick line into their sites from here
