Union Station - Goldsboro, NC

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

A local task force is currently researching the Union Station forfuture restoration. The efforts made to track the original plans have been frutiless. To no avail, we have contacted the architects family as well as local and state archives. Are there other sources to check and/or does ACL have archives that would be available for reference? We'd appreciate any repsonses.

Bob....The Southern Ry. Historical Association has everything now.

You might contact the Norfolk Southern Corporation. They are successor to two of the companies that owned Goldsboro Union Station (Norfolk Southern Railway and Southern Railway). Until fairly recently, they maintained an outstanding archive and just might have what you are looking for. They did, however, recently dispose of quite a bit of material, so they may not have what you seek.
