Is there any good new left in the world?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Its been a strange 10 days.

Someone hit my new car and then left the seen of the accident. I came back to the car park to find it battered and bruised, it was 4 days old.

They now reckon its going to cost over £900 to fix. :o(

My fence blew down in the storms last night so there goes another £200.

But after all it’s only money. And there is more going on in the world then my problems. All I have to do is turn on the news and be even more depressed! At the suffering that is going on in the world.

On the plus side, I did have a great time in Manchester over the weekend. Yes we all know the game was crap. But the atmosphere and the singing at the end was worth the cost of several fence panels.

Oh and life goes on as my mate has just announced she is pregnant so I am currently knitting booties and baby cardigans.

Reasons to be cheerful:

1) We're going to the World Cup

2) We support the finest club side the world has ever known

3) Beer is still less than £3 a pint

Whadyamean, all bad news?

Yes. There most definitely is good news left in the world.

I gave my cholesterol level it's nightly boost earlier and went through a bag of Walkers that had a fiver in.

It won't change my life in any way, and I'll definitely keep me job on. Ok, on second thoughts, I might pack in work. :-))

More good news - Kevin Phillips sounds as though he might want to leave the Mackems.

My Dear Pit. Did I ever tell you what a wonderful fellow you are? Not that I need to as it is clearly obvious to everybody who has been lucky enough to meet you. You won the Walker's Crisp jackpot eh? Couldn't have happened to a nicer chap.

Now, if you have difficulty in spending your £5M winnings.....................
