I'm interested in buying a UV exposure unit for alternative process contact printing, especially platinum/palladium printing. Dick Arentz's Platinum_&_Palladium_Printing comments that the nuArc 26-1K is nearly ideal for this purpose. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone with experience using this unit for Pt/Pd printing.

In particular, is its spectrum well-suited for Pt/Pd? What are your typical exposure times? How do you like its design and controls? Is the lamp subject to degradation, and if so, what is its typical life?
