Shola Interview

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Sorry for all the threads but the items relating to NUFC are all different this month. Anyway, not much new, but he talks about how his dad made sure he did his schoolwork and that he's glad he did cos he now has 11 GCSEs. He also says he is a great believer in God and this belief helps him keep calm and remain confident although he stresses that he would never shove his beliefs down anyone else's throat. He admits he is far from the finished article and says that he learns should lots from the likes of Alan Shearer who has given him loads of advice. He says he's not stupid enough to expect to be first choice at this point but he says he'll take his chances when he gets them. He then talks about YBR who he says is "God", knows loads about football, treats the players with respect and is getting things right at the club: he thinks we should finish 6-8 this season. He says that he doesn't want to play anywhere else as he is NUFC through and through but obviously, you never know what is going to happen. Finally, he says he is glad he chose to play for England but he admits he'd have got more chances to play with Nigeria.
