Powder put this post up at TB2, but thought I'd paste it here. anyone close or just a few hours driving distance is welcome. or iff you are farther, but wanting to come!!!!

Mini DoomStock 2001 - NE OHIO On October 20th, SAR01 and I are having an informal picnic/cookout at SAR01's home just outside Oberlin, Ohio.

Anyone who wants to is more than welcome to come. I know it's short notice for those of you more than a few hours away, but we're running out of time and weather for it. For those who drive a distance to get here, we do have some limited space to put you up for the night.

We'll be smoking some turkey or chicken, possibly deep frying one or two, and I think I'm going to barbecue some ribs and chicken. We'll be having a nice campfire all day. Weather is likely to be cool so you'll want to dress appropriately.

We will probably have an area set up for target and can shooting. Possibly a small competition, who knows? So bring your precious metals...

There's no objection to bringing alcoholic beverages, but be aware: You drink, you don't shoot or handle weapons. I'll be range officer.

Let us know here who wants to come, and if you want to bring food or beverages, that's great. Let's coordinate everything here. We'll get you directions and more detail as it becomes available.

SAR, I'll have to extend cyber greetings on this one! I don't have anyone I can trust to give one of my kitties her semi-daily meds unless it is truly an emergency. I'm thrilled, though that there are a number of meets going on. It is so important to make those real- life connections!

Sheeps, POWDER is a "neighbor" he lives about 7 minutes away!!! Dan R is my hubby's handle..(and no, NOT DAN REILLY) believe he lives in Canada.

Yes, I have popped in over TB since we decided to do this, and there are alot having little get togethers.
