Bolton Tickets

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

To save anyone who's waiting for their tickets for this game fannying around with the Box Office, they are still processing the applications and should be sending out tickets by the weekend. Regarding spares, she says it seems improbable as they have had loads of applications, but it's worth a try..

Tuesday / October / Barnsley - what a thought. I haven't even thought about going - am I ill ?

I got one of the two I applied for (which is helpful since I'm not keen ongoing on my own and the other person, Screach, may not want to go on his own either). However, they said that the game was oversubscribed, so anyone wanting spares may struggle: maybe the home end would be the best option.

Anybody got a sniff of a spare or 3?

I'm on the case Softie but there's 2 in the queue ahead of you :-( I have a ticket myself (thanks Dougal) so will be travelling whatever. 3 seats in the car going spare right now but if the other tix come thru that I'm looking for that will be reduced to one.

Screach, you can put Softie and Clarky ahead of me in the queue if you like because a) I'm still gutted at Clarky missing out on yesterday and he deserves the ticket more than me on that basis and b) you can have a lads' day out if it's you, Softie and Clarky.

You're a real sweetheart Dougal. However, I probably should have gone last night, so it was my own fault - and I wouldn't have been able to see anything anyway the way my eyes were bleeding!!

At this point, the only excuses I can offer are as follows:

* I was totally, utterly, completely brassed off with NUFC's bloody incompetence. Why the sodding hell should loyal fans have put up with this buffoonery?

* I simply didn't trust their "information" on ticket availability down at Barnsley - after all, why should I? It just wasn't worth getting there, finding out NUFC were wrong - yet again - and then suffering the inevitable brain heamorrhage!

I'm quite prepared to pay my homily by missing out on Saturday.

Clarky, I've only just seen this. The thing is, I went to the Box Office on Monday to get my and Screacher's tickets so I could have got yours then if I'd had any sense and also, had I had any prsence of mind on Tuesday, I'd have given you my ticket and taken the risk at Barnsley myself as I was slightly less hyperventilated about it than you (rightly) were, all of which makes me really gutted about your missing out. The real gutter, though, was that there was a b*stard empty seat right next to Screach and me.....
