I have a friend who is in Manly at the moment (I know him from the MSN footie community) and he would be interested in hooking up with some fellow Geordies. Anybody interested in dropping him an email?

Kegsy, Give him my address or send me his & I'll drop him a line. There's a few of us who get together several times a week for tv games, our own highly succesful indoor footy team, quiz night, Friday night - come to think of it I see far too much of the buggers. Sure we can get him along to something. We'll be having a few sociable ones after work in the city tomorrow & will be going out to watch the England game on Saturday night. Well it's something to do....

You've got an indoor footy team? Where do you play?

Sounds as if things have really taken off since I took off ...

:O(( (sniffle sniffle)

I wouldn't worry Loony - when they say 'play' it's clearly using the word with a large amount of poetic licence...!

Yeh Min youīre probably right. The only worrying thing is that thatīs the standard I play at too !! I mean itīs alright for you, if you hadnīt had that knee injury down at Coogee beach the other month ...

;O))

Does anyone have a report on how Andy Thompson performed at training the other night? All I have heard is "the old magic is still there" and other such bollocks since.

The truth please?

Hey Loony , things have changed cos I've arrived recently and cos Min has gone back hyem ( can someone please extract that trumpet from my @rse ) ;-).

Andy, yes we do indeed have an indoor footy team, we play at Ultimo community centre which is right by Darling Harbour/Powerhouse museum.

MT, your brother showed some great touches on the pitch and in his dim and dark past has obviously played at a considerably higher level that most of us (although there were concerns at one point that he may have required resucitation). However, by all accounts his performance in the pub afterwards was spectacular. Rumour has it (and that's unconfirmed at this stage as he was the last man left) that he may have become the first bloke ever to tap off in the Glasgow Arms. If so (and we'll be quizzing him for details next week) he'll go down in the history of our football game as we've been to the same pub twice a week for over 2 years without anyone ever having so much of a sniff. A fine debut, I'm sure you'll all agree.
