Make Your House Smell like Fall Try this easy hint: Place 1 cup of water and 2 teaspoons of pumpkin-pie spice into a large microwave safe bowl. Heat on high until the mixture boils. Cook for 3 minutes, then let sit for 15 minutes, and your home will smell wonderful. This Side Up

We see things marked "This Side Up" all the time but don't always pay attention to those words. However, when it comes to a refrigerator or other piece of refrigeration equipment, "This Side Up" means business. Oil in the compressor needs to stay in the compressor. Laying a refrigerator on its side can allow oil to migrate out of the compressor and cause real trouble when the unit is turned back on. Play it safe and leave refrigeration equipment standing "This Side Up!"

Contact Paper

Here is a tip that might save some home repair. Contact paper is meant to cover shelves, drawers and the like, but somehow a fair amount of it ends up on walls. Contact paper doesn't come off like wallpaper: it stays stuck. If you start tearing it off, part of the wall will probably come with it. Before things get out of hand, try softening the contact paper with a blow dryer as you slowly pull it from the wall.
