I am excited to join your list. We welcomed a Standard into our home last February after his owner found him a bit too much to handle. It is along story but the outcome has been wonderful for us. Since this is a new breed for us (have a recued golden who is very laid back and have had a FlatCoat, a Beardie (rescued) and several mixed breeds who have wandered into our hearts and stayed.) I am anxious to know all about this wild and wacky breed, as well as meet peopple in the Atlanta area who have Standards. I have been a member of a list for American Saddlebred Horse lovers - have one of those as well - and learn a lot from it each day!
