I am a novice at this so i'm initially hoping to make contact- an important notion for me. I am amazed at the depth of knowledge and the ability to communicate by this means. The main thrust of my thinking at this time is to be aware of the humanity Christ and his efforts to complete his mission from the insecurities of that starting point. I was thinking I'd set up a new thread to introduce myself, but then I realised that I'd fit in okay here!

I'm sorry I missed the first session - a bout of headcold got in the way, but I'm looking forward to joining you. Background is that I've done degree in theology and philosophy in Milltown, but haven't done all that much serious thinking in the last 2 years, working in the Jesuits...(oh yes...!) media centre. So, while thinking that I'd like to go back and do a master's next year I thought it would be good to dabble again, and I like the idea of writing my own theology... kind of from the bottom up... which takes account of my own experiences (the little I have) and develops it.

Sounds good! Hope to see you all tomorrow. And Greece is good too - I was island-hopping this summer, it was really enjoyable.
