Baltimore clique here. Webcast only for me today. In addition to all I still needed to get done, a friend had to go into hospital earlier this morning so am now on standby to go pick her up if (hopefully!) she doesn't have to be admitted.Playing archival broadcasts of RG's introduction without warning are not good for my nerves in this sleep-deprived state!! Nor is listening to all those goals. Again. :-P

-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Why is Solano taking all the free kicks? Robert does as well if not better.
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Sounds like we aren't playing too badly so far.
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
I'll just hum quietly to myself...We are the Geordies, the Geordie boot boys...
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Lee could make up for his mistake by taking McAllister out of the game. Now if he could just take out Fowler, Heskey, Murphy..... ;-)
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001

-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
All over them - but how many decent chances created ??
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
According to radio 5 you have only had 1 chance.A bellamy header apparently.
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
...blocks! kev, O'Brien went the closest and we've had lots of free- kicks, Carragher's been booked watch Robert in the second!
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Bud, are you watching? What's the problem? Unlucky? Poor finishing? Liverpool's defence being effective enough to stop us?
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Cheers SK. Anyone care to patch together a HT report from what they´ve heard/seen ??
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Bellamy is causing problems with pace, hints that he should just drive into box turning Henchoz, Carraghey appears to have measure of Robert, 5 feel Speed will be on for Acuna, Solano on ball more than most , Liverpool dangerous on break, Toon playing into wind 2nd. How ya doin Kev, meat and two veg today mind, off the fries
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Nice one Buff. You enjoy the Old Firm ? Only caught last 15 meself - fine goal out of nothing by left-sided Geordie Thompson.BTW is Solano doing anything with all that possession?
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
I thought we had a canny first half though. mistake by Lee for the goal but he's over it now and playing well. The goals will come. Let's feed robert this half. carragher has already been booked so will have to be careful. Bellamy is being bellamy, all over the place. He just keeps running and running and running. I wouldn't make any changes yet. Keep after them We will be OK.Howay the lads.
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Ciara, no real problem, we (Rob lee) just gave away a stupid goal after a few mins., we've had loads of possession and I'm confident Robert or even Solano will come good.
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Seems to be doin ok, but Henchoz and Hypia hoy their bodies about
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Another 'f' up (Griffen), fortunately F***er off side!
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001

-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
No surprises today Buff - in the result at least. See my post above on where to from here. Ho hum
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
We've GOT to get a big bruiser to run things in midfield and/or defence. It's a MUST.
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
al ower, 2 nowt, a gift and a counter-attack, we were quite average in the second half, professional display by the scousers.;7)
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
100% correct we desperately need a strong man in mid-field!
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
On the upside...the webcast worked flawlessly the whole time. :-|
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
IMHO we have not progressed one iota , not pessimistic just realistic
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Kev , Ill give you a fact, Take your pick from Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesborough and the team would still not get into the top six ,face it man, they are all crap , and for supporters 1.2.3. in the above order that draw most local support in the UK that is a disgrace,
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Aye Buff a disgrace - and probably completely irrelevant in today`s world of the PL ?
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Congrats to Screacher, for (aptly) naming this the "Mickey Mouse" thread :-(
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Thank God I picked Riise in my Fantasy League team - he's down as a ruddy full back would you believe! On today's performance Rob Lee needs replacing. He gave them the first goal and allowed Murphy to run past unchallenged for the second. He's had is day and it's time for younger legs.
It looked like it was in the midfield where we lost it. Lee past his best and Acuna not quite there. Robert and Solano both out on the fringes. I wonder if in the short term it might be better playing three at the back so we could have another bloke in the middle of the Park (or Bellamy behind Al and Shola). Are Robert and Solano too much of a risk as the wide men in such a formation?
-- Anonymous, September 30, 2001
Jacko - Yes you are so right.
